The H.O.U.S.E., Inc. has been fighting the Addiction Battle for a long long time – since even before it became The H.O.U.S.E., Inc. Nestled in the Southwest corner of Missouri, we drew the line, planted our flag, and created a defense perimeter on the outskirts of Joplin, MO, a refuge and foundation from which to fend off the temptations proffered by the cold cruel world. It is here we made our stand and put out the call to all victims beset by irreconcilable character traits that predispose them to a lifestyle that threatens to destroy them. Here, under the umbrella of structure, a collection of chronic addicts and alcoholics having hit their respective bottoms pull their shattered lives together in an environment of unity in pursuit of a common goal – survival. It is here that they once again have the opportunity to pull the bits and pieces of their lives back together, complete unfinished goals in life, and regain the respect of the community by becoming productive, responsible, and valued citizens. The H.O.U.S.E., Inc. offers all that and more in a well developed program designed by those having had experiences common to all suffering from addictions. Unity brings together those who have been there, done that, and suffered just as you or a loved one has with this chronic disease in an environment where institutionalized rhetoric won’t pass for taking the actual steps needed to recover and maintain remission. Bull and denial won’t make it past the door, while sincerity and effort will gain all the support needed and desired. For those who have had enough, who are fed up with the cyclical state of their lives, and are truly ready to make the changes necessary, reach out and we’ll give you a hand up.
